TOUR DESCRIPTION
The excursion starts from the port of Los Cristianos, in Tenerife South, where we will board the ferry Naviera Armas and head to San Sebastián de La Gomera, the capital.
Arriving at the port we will head towards the centre of the island, marvelling at how the vegetation transforms from dry to wet. Our first stop will be "La degollada de Peraza", where we will observe the phenomenon of horizontal rain.
Continuing on our way, we will stop in the area of the ancient super volcanoes to contemplate one of the most emblematic areas of the island, the "Roque de Agando", an impressive volcanic formation.
Entering the Garajonay National Park, we will be surrounded by vegetation and discover the laurel forest ecosystem. This ancient subtropical forest existed in times when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. We will make a stop at Laguna Grande where we will walk along a circular path to appreciate the beauty of the laurel forest up close.
Our next stop will be the viewpoint of Palmarejo, in Valle Gran Rey, where we will admire one of the most impressive canyons of La Gomera. We will then stop in a village near the beach where we will have some free time to enjoy a snack or explore the coast.
The trip continues until we reach the charming village of Agulo, where you can have lunch in a typical Gomeran restaurant (lunch not included).
Finally we will return to San Sebastián to appreciate the vestiges of the history linked to Christopher Columbus' passage through the island before leaving towards the American continent. You will be able to visit the Torre del Conde and La Casa de Colón, two historic buildings that will transport you back in time.
